Yimin Zhang, born in September,1958, Doctor of Engineering, is Dean of the school, professor, Doctoral Supervisor, specially-appointed professor of Cheung Kong Scholars Program, an expert of Mechanical Disciplines Assessment Team of National Natural Science Foundation, Youth Science and Technology of China Machinery Industry Expert The backbone of the Ministry of Education teachers in colleges and universities, GM China College Automotive Innovation Talent, Leading Talent of Shenyang City, team leader of Liaoning colleges and universities innovative team, director of Key Laboratory of Liaoning Province, vice chairman of the Mechanical Engineering Society of Shenyang, member of China Vibration Engineering Council, and so on. He is also the commissioner of Mechanical Transmission State Key Laboratory Academic Council of Chongqing University. He takes charge of over 30 projects, including key and major projects of National Natural Science Foundation and GM China's scientific research funds, 863 goal-oriented projects, 973 projects, and other provincial and ministerial research projects. He has gained one second prize of National Scientific and Technological Progress Award, 1 first prize of GM China College Automotive Innovation Talent, 13 Provincial-level scientific and technological progress awards, one prize of Top 10 Projects of National Natural Science Foundation. Professor Zhang had issued over 200 papers on many famous journals home and abroad, including China Science (E Series), COMPUT METHOD APPL M, J VIB ACOUST-T ASME, AIAA J, P IMechE D-J AUT, J SOUND VIB, among of which 121 were accepted by SCI (24), EI (85) and ISTP (12) and quoted over 300 times by SCI and domestic core journals. He independently wrote 4 textbooks and monographs, and edited 1 collection of papers in chief, and cooperatively wrote 2 monographs. He majors in the research in dynamic mechanical design, mechanical reliability design, modern design, rotor dynamics, multi-body System Dynamics.
